1. After receiving your license, your initial renewal requires you to complete the following post license education:

   1. Sales Associates: 45 hours
   2. Brokers License Renewal: 60 hours

    

   After your initial renewal, you’ll be required to renew your real estate license every two years.  A total of 14 hours of continuing education is required, composed of the following courses:

   • 3 hours of Core Law
   • 3 hours of Ethics & Business Ethics
   • 8 hours of Specialty Credit

You must successfully complete a 63-hour course approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission; submit the appropriate application with fee, have electronic fingerprints taken through Promisor, and successfully compete the state examination.

The Royal Palm Coast REALTOR® Association maintains your REALTOR® membership.  The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) maintains your license and the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) regulates your license.

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) has implemented a 100% Post and Continuing Education Monitoring database.  You can view your continuing education requirements and courses completed at www.MyFloridaLicense.com.  After you log in, select My Continuing Education.

NAR has mandatory ethics training requirements for new and existing REALTOR® members.  NAR offers two online training options.  First, a continuing education option for $29.95 (CE included). Second, existing member course that does not include CE credit and is free.  Third, NAR offers a new member orientation online for new member applicants.

The Code of Ethics requirement must be completed every three years.  The current cycle ends December 31, 2021.
