2026 November Member Breakfast
RPCRA is pleased to welcome Dr. Brad O'Connor, Chief Economist for Florida Realtors®, as our guest speaker for November's Member Breakfast.
Friday, November 13 | Breakfast: 8:00 AM | Program: 8:30 AM | The Forest Country Club
As head of research for Florida Realtors®, the state's largest trade association, Dr. O'Connor leads the team behind the association's monthly housing market statistics, which are widely cited by media, industry professionals, and policymakers across the state. He also directs a range of other economic and statistical research projects that help Realtors® and consumers understand what's happening in Florida real estate. His analysis appears regularly in major Florida newspapers and has been featured in national outlets including The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. He is also a familiar voice at Florida Realtors®' annual Real Estate Trends Summit, where he presents his outlook on the state's economy and housing market.
Dr. O'Connor holds a bachelor's degree in economics from The Ohio State University, along with master's and doctoral degrees in economics from Florida State University, where his research focused on how land use regulations affect housing markets. Before joining Florida Realtors®, he worked as an economic and statistical consultant for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando.
At this month's breakfast, Dr. O'Connor will provide an update on Florida's housing market, covering the latest trends in home sales, prices, inventory, and affordability. He'll also share insight into the broader economic forces shaping today's market, from mortgage rates and inflation to insurance costs and consumer confidence, and highlight what Realtors® should be watching as we head into 2027.
Whether you're advising buyers, preparing sellers, or planning your business for the year ahead, this is a valuable opportunity to hear directly from one of Florida's leading real estate economists. Join us for an informative look at the numbers, trends, and economic outlook affecting real estate across Florida and here in Southwest Florida.
FREE for Members. There is a $10 charge at the door for those without a registration, and a $15 no-show fee will be assessed. This event is for RPCRA members only.
