How to Become a Realtor® Member of RPCRA
  • Take a pre-licensing course and pass the real estate exam.
  • Apply for a Florida Real Estate License with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
  • Join a brokerage whose qualifying Broker holds a membership with RPCRA.
  • Complete RPCRA membership application below.
  • Pay your Membership Dues within 30 days of joining your Broker's roster on DBPR
  • Obtain a Supra Key.
  • Complete the New Member Orientation requirements, including Code of Ethics.

Join RPCRA

Each firm must designate in writing a Designated Broker who will be responsible for all of the duties and obligations of licensees associated with the Designated Broker, including the obligation to arbitrate disputes pursuant to Article 17 of the Code of Ethics and to pay Association dues as established in the Bylaws. The Designated Broker must be the sole proprietor, partner, corporate officer, or branch office manager of the firm capable of acting on behalf of the firm's principal(s) and must meet the other qualifications for REALTOR® membership established in the Bylaws. The Designated Broker must be actively engaged in the real estate profession, and maintain a current, valid real estate broker's license or be licensed or certified by an appropriate State regulatory agency to engage in the appraisal of real property.

A licensee shall qualify for Realtor® membership if the person is:

  • Actively engaged in the real estate profession other than as a sole proprietor, partner, corporate officer, or branch office manager;
  • Maintains a current, valid real estate broker's or salesperson's license or is licensed or certified by an appropriate state regulatory agency to engage in the appraisal of real property.

An Florida Gulf Coast MLS Only membership allows you full access to the FGCMLS without becoming a board member of RPCRA. You will still have to complete control over listings and FGCMLS benefits, but no access to the additional Realtor® benefits that come with an RPCRA board membership. 

Apply for MLS Only Broker Membership

Florida Gulf Coast MLS members get full access to the Florida Gulf Coast MLS to list, search, run reports, etc. This application MUST be completed by the Designated Broker of the office.

Apply for MLS Only Agent Membership

As an Appraiser you are granted Realtor® status by the National Association of REALTORS®.

The Designated Appraiser does not work under another appraiser but is, in essence, the “broker” of the appraisal company.

Additional Membership Options

As an active Realtor® member of another association, you can choose to become a Secondary Member of RPCRA and join the Florida Gulf Coast MLS (FGCMLS). To become a secondary member, follow these steps:

  • Complete a Agent or Broker Application and select the “Secondary” drop down option. 
  • Obtain a Letter of Good Standing from your Primary board. You will provide this to the RPCRA Membership Representative who contacts you.

If you are currently a Realtor® member of another board and are transferring to RPCRA, follow the below steps to transfer your membership:

  • Complete an agent or broker aplication, and select "Primary Membership."
  • Obtain a Letter of Good Standing from your current Primary board. The cost to join will depend on where else you hold Realtor® membership, and will be discussed by an RPCRA Membership Representative.

If you are a current Realtor® member of RPCRA and are upgrading to be the broker of your own office, please complete the Broker/Office Application. An upgrade application fee of $100 will be assessed for active RPCRA members instead of the $300 new broker application fee. 

Broker/Office Application

Office Assistant membership is for those that either do not hold a real estate license or their license is on inactive status with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

FREC's Guidelines for Unlicensed Assistants 

  • Complete the Office Assistant Membership Application, signed by the Broker.
  • Submit a legible copy of the assistant's driver's license or government issued I.D.
  • Process payment.
