Board of Directors charters the Fort Myers Realty Board.

Carl C. McClure becomes President of the State Association, Florida Association of Realtors®, in 1926.

1929

The crash of Wall Street lead to the Great Depression, which devastated the real estate market.

1938

Harry J. Wood becomes President of the State Association, Florida Association of Realtors®, in 1938.

1940

The Board of Directors approves a name change from Fort Myers Realty Board to Fort Myers Board of Realtors®.

1949

Present: Lee, Hendry, Charlotte and Glades Counties. To: Current jurisdiction except Charlotte County, which is now jurisdiction of the Punta Gorda Board of Realtors®.

1959

Fort Myers Beach Board of Realtors® is chartered. Estero and San Carlos Island in Lee County, designated as Fort Myers Beach.

1959

The Board of Directors approves a change in Jurisdiction for the Fort Myers Board of Realtors®. Present Jurisdiction except Estero Island and San Carlos Island. The area is released to the Fort Myers Beach Board.

1967

Description change: Lee, Hendry, and Glades Counties except those portions of Lee County allocated to Fort Myers Beach Board (Estero Island and San Carlos Island) and Bonita Springs Board.
The Association has 66 Active members.

1969

The Fort Myers Beach Board of Realtors® added all Section 13 and the South one-half Section 12, Range 23 E, all Section 19, 18, and the South one-half Section 7, Range 24 E, all in township 46 South.

Board of Directors charters the Cape Coral Board of Realtors®.

NAR New Member Indoctrination 1969. A mandatory Indoctrination course (New Member Orientation today) was implemented.

1973

The Cape Coral Board of Realtors® jurisdiction changed to "The territorial limits of Cape Coral, Florida."

1973

The Fort Myers Board of Realtors® approved Lee, Hendry, and Glades Counties (except those portions of Lee County allocated to the Cape Coral Board); to Fort Myers Beach Board and Bonita Springs Board.

1974

The Stock Market hit a low, 1974. New Home prices doubled. Home prices continued to grow over the next 20 years.

1985

The Fort Myers Board of Realtors® is releasing jurisdiction of the Sanibel Causeway, Sanibel and Captiva Island.

1987

The Fort Myers Board of Realtors® is changing the name to the Fort Myers Association of Realtors®.

1988

The Multiple Listing Service of Fort Myers Association of Realtors is incorporated in 1988.

1988

The Fort Myers Association of Realtors® held its first annual Trade Show.

1989

The Fort Myers Board of Realtors® established a Crisis Foundation to assist members who have endured a catastrophe or the death of a primary income provider.

1990

A New Crisis Emerged, from 1990 to 1997. housing prices were flat and New Home Construction dropped to its lowest since World War II.

1997

The Fort Myers Association of Realtors® has 1291 active members.

1999

The Fort Myers Association of Realtors® and the Fort Myers Beach Board of Realtors® merged. The name changes to Realtor® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Beach, Inc.

2013

Membership approaches the 4,000 mark.

2014

The Florida Gulf Coast Multiple Listing Service switches to Matrix MLS and joined Naples and Bonita Springs on one platform. Members now have access to all Listings of participating MLS's.

2016

The Realtor® Association of Greater Fort Myers and the Cape Coral Association of Realtors® merged.
The name changes to Royal Palm Coast Realtor ® Association.

2018

The Royal Palm Coast Association of Realtors® released the village of Estero to the Bonita Springs Estero Realtors® Boutique Association.

2020

COVID-19 reality: Florida Realtors and all local associations and boards fight to keep Real Estate an essential business during the lockdown and beyond.

2021

Your Association is approaching its 100th Birthday in 2022. Being active for a hundred years ensures your profession is secured and you are the center of the real estate transaction. Help keep it that way and get involved. We are approaching the 8,000 Realtor® member mark.

2022

2022 is our 100th Anniversary, 9500+ members strong. Thank you to all leaders and members from 1922 to 2022!
