NADJA BRUNNER was born and raised in Würzburg, Germany, a picturesque city in the country's Bavaria region. Set alongside the river, Würzburg is known for its imaginative rococo architecture and colorful wine culture. Nadja has fond memories of her time in Würzburg. She attended Würzburg University, where she majored in American studies, German linguistics, and literature. Despite growing up in a beautiful German city, Nadja had long-held dreams of traveling across the Atlantic to the U.S.
When Nadja was in her early 20s, she took her first trip to Cape Coral, Florida, with her parents as they embarked upon a journey to purchase real estate. This was at the beginning of the Great Recession when real estate investment opportunities were abundant in the Sunshine State. "Cape Coral was a destination for us to explore. Cape Coral had so much potential. It seemed like a good opportunity for vacation rentals too," Nadja reflects.
Nadja was faced with two challenges simultaneously: building her business and adjusting to a new culture. Luckily, she was familiar with American culture, but there were still challenges. "I came all by myself, a young woman, all alone, with no partner, no friends. The first year was difficult. I got settled in slowly," Nadja offers. Nadja's business took flight quickly. Her initial plan was to sell real estate and work on vacation rentals. Her family owns a vacation rental agency, which allowed her the opportunity to continue to service clients after the sale. Nadja joined a team in 2012 and sold $13 million that year. By 2016, she got her broker's license and started the Elite Team. In 2022, as an agent and team leader with Century 21 Sunbelt Realty, Nadja closed $20 million. Her team, which closed $34 million, was ranked the number one team by adjusted gross commission for Century 21 in Florida. From the early stages of her career, Nadja was focused on selling new construction and custom homes, which remains a big part of her business. Nadja enjoys working closely with builders and assisting her clients in designing their homes, many of whom live out of state or overseas.
